GIN SPRITZ RECIPES
BECAUSE WE’RE ALL ABOUT THAT FIZZ.
Two words: Gin Spritz. You’d be hard-pressed to find a drink as perfect for sipping in the sticky heat of an Aussie summer. So here are four of our favourite recipes to whip out when the temperature is climbing and you’re in need of a drink (or two…).
Stock up on the sparkling and practice those bottle-popping skills, because it’s time to get fizzy with it.Â

SUMMER HEATWAVE
Buy the ginINGREDIENTS
- 25mLÂ Modern Australian Gin
- 50mL orange juice
- 100mL sparkling wineÂ
- Basil
METHOD
- Add gin and orange juice to a wine glass over lots of ice
- Top up with your favourite sparkling wine
- Garnish with a basil leaf

BLOODY SPRITZ
Buy the ginINGREDIENTS
- 30mLÂ Bloody Shiraz Gin
- 30mL ruby red grapefruit juice
- 30mL soda water
- 90mL sparkling wine
- Grapefruit
METHOD
- Add the ingredients to a wine glass over ice
- Top with sparkling wine
- Garnish with a slice of grapefruit

HER-B FIZZ
Buy the ginINGREDIENTS
- 15mL Rare Dry Gin Â
- 15mL blood orange liqueur  Â
- 15mL lemon juice Â
- 4 basil leaves Â
- 60mL soda water Â
- 90mL Prosecco/sparkling wine/fizz  Â
- Basil (to garnish)Â
METHOD
- Add gin, liqueur, lemon juice and basil leaves into a shakerÂ
- Shake and fine strain into a wine glass Â
- Add soda water, sparkling, and ice and gently stirÂ
- Garnish with a sprig of basil Â

BLOODY GOOD TO GO
Buy the ginINGREDIENTS
- 45mLÂ Bloody Shiraz Gin
- 20mL passionfruit syrup (recipe below)Â
- 20mL fresh lime juiceÂ
- 90mL sparkling wineÂ
- Lime
- Lime leaf (to garnish)
METHOD
- Add gin, passionfruit syrup and fresh lime juice in a shakerÂ
- Shake and strain into a wine glassÂ
- Top with sparkling wine, add ice and gently stirÂ
- Garnish with a wheel of lime and lime leafÂ

PASSIONFRUIT SYRUP RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
- 200g passionfruit, washed and de-stemmedÂ
- 200mL waterÂ
- 50g caster sugarÂ
- Pinch of saltÂ
METHOD
- Halve the passionfruit and place it with water in a pot over a medium heat Â
- Bring to a boil and remove from heatÂ
- Steep for 20 minutes Â
- Once finished, strain and keep liquid Â
- Dissolve caster sugar and salt in the liquidÂ
- Allow to cool completelyÂ
- Bottle up and refrigerate
