Our first family of gin tins was all about putting our favourite classic serves into ready-to-drink cans. From a perfect Rare Dry Gin & Tonic to a Fresh Yuzu Gin & Soda.
With four delicious gin tins under our belt, we felt it was the perfect time to explore a tin that showcased just how incredible our gins taste in a classic cocktail. The first cab off the rank? Bloody Shiraz Gin. Our delicious experiment turned right.
So, we put our Creative Director of Gin Drinks, Nick Tesar to work, playing with drinks and flavours that complement Bloody Shiraz Gin. He looked to Clover Clubs and Floradoras with flavours like raspberry and ginger. And somewhere along the way, a bloody brainwave hit, what about a Gin Punch?
A Gin Punch, in its simplest form, is made up of spirit, citrus, sugar, spice, and something to fizz it up.
So, in went lemon (that’s the citrus) and in went ginger beer (for the spice and fizz) and we finished it off with a big hit of raspberry to round out the sweetness.
When we finally landed on the perfect flavour combo, it was over to the experts (see: the Healesville Distillery bar team), to give us the seal of approval. And from there, it was done. Our first gin cocktail in a can, Bloody Raspberry & Ginger Gin Punch.
It’s fresh. It’s juicy. It’s really bloody good. And it’s best enjoyed exactly how you’d drink any other Gin Punch - in the company of your favourite people.
