SAZERAC COCKTAIL RECIPE

A nod to the classic American cocktail. An aniseed-spiked Old Fashioned style drink. Grunty, yet subtle.

  • INGREDIENTS

    • 50mL Whiskey Barrel Gin 
    • 30mL water 
    • 10mL sugar syrup 
    • 5mL absinthe (or pastis) 
    • 2 dashes aromatic bitters 
    • 1 dash orange bitters 
    • Lemon 

  • METHOD

    • Add absinthe and water to a rocks glass and set aside  
    • Combine all remaining ingredients in a mixing glass over ice and stir 
    • Pour absinthe water out of the rocks glass and strain cocktail into the glass 
    • Garnish with a lemon twist
