MASTER OF THE WORLD

After four straight wins at the London Gin Masters, our Navy Strength Gin can officially say it is a Master in its category.

We are thrilled to announce that Four Pillars Navy Strength Gin collected the gong for Best Navy Strength Gin in the 2018 World Gin Masters, for the fourth year running!

Run annually by the UK Spirits Masters in partnership with the International Bartenders Association, the competition is one of the trade industry’s most highly respected.

This is yet another feather in the Navy Strength cap, along with trhe previous three Global Gin Masters it the trophy for Best Gin at the 2016 Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition.

The Asian-based edition of one of the world’s most prestigious spirits competition is gaining increasing attention across our region and is exceptionally well respected.

Its position as a leading influence on current trends and as a quality bench-marker attracts entries from all over the world.

Considering this, and recent numbers that show that a huge 70% of the UK’s gin is shipped overseas to meet this ‘drink du jour’ demand, we took immense pride in the fact that our modern Australian ‘bootleg release’ took out such a high position when tasted blindly alongside its international compadres in the 2015 competition.

The judges’ favourite in its style, Four Pillars Navy Strength Gin took out the only position of Master amongst the entrants in the exciting, complex category.

The judges remarked that, despite the fierceness of the spirit, these gins knew what they were about. And that Four Pillars displayed a “surprisingly soft mouth feel” and “malty flavour with a hint of spice”. You can check out the original article here.

And it took out the same title again in 2016, described as “leading the pack” with its “orange blossom nose” and “interesting array of flavours”.

Needless to say, we’re very proud of our little bootleg sailor. G&Ts with ginger and Gimlets all round!
